I am unable to donate using the “donate” button on your site (error msg.) I do not find a mailing address to send a check. Where shall I send it, or will the link be back up soon?

Oh that’s embarrassing! I will work on the link. Meanwhile, to donate by mail, send a check made out to ‘ACAT’ (Yarducopia is a program of Alaska Community Action on Toxics) to our office at 505 W. Northern Lights Blvd, Ste 205, Anchorage, AK 99503. Please write ‘Yarducopia’ in the subject line. And a million thanks to you!

It took a while to trace this issue, but the donate button should work again! Also, don’t forget to choose Alaska Community Action on Toxics (ACAT) on Pick Click Give when you file for your PFD to help fund Yarducopia! (A program of ACAT) Thanks everyone!!

I have a big yard and would love to have help building a garden or two in my yard, I don’t use any pesticides. I think I might have enough materials to do a raised garden. But I’m on dissabilities and have little strength to do this alone . Also it would be nice to have some friends around gardening with me

Hi Lynda! You sound like an excellent Yarducopia candidate. Please sign up as a ‘Yard’ using the orange links on the main page – yarducopia.org. I can’t guarantee that we will find you a match this year, but I will do my best! I am out of town until May 27, and will work on making more matches and gardens after that time, through the end of June.

Question!!
Could I use super thin untreated plywood instead of cardboard?

Interesting question!! I think that should be ok, the one concern would be the glue used to press the layers together, but my guess is that, much like cardboard, this glue is organic and loved by fungi, who will break it down. The plywood should break down slower than cardboard, but I think in most cases this would be just fine. Anyone else have other thoughts?

We are going to try the plywood
