Tuesday, June 7 (5-7 pm, 1-2 hours) Digging raspberries at Nathalie’s house for Tudor Elementary Berry Patch – We’re looking for more tasty varieties of raspberries (and other berries) to transplant! Can supply replacement soil.

Wednesday, June 8 (2-5 pm) Tonette & Addie’s Garden on North Klevin Street – strawberry patch & climbing beans

Friday-Sunday, June 17-19 (late mornings and afternoons) – Breaking ground on a new Fairview neighborhood garden (1045 East 13th). Call if you want to garden here or lend a hand with construction. This will be an all weekend project.

Monday, June 20 (3-7 pm) Midtown Garden Depot – Opening for the Season! Workparty to get the depot organized and ready for visitors. Sorry for the delay, we put a hold on the depot this spring to give the new community garden sharing this space a chance to find its feet.

Tuesday, June 28 (6-8:00 pm) Regular composting workparties are held throughout the summer to divert materials from Anchorage’s waste stream and provide compost free of charge to Anchorage gardeners. The compost area is at the Midtown Community Garden (2930 Cheechako Street). Contact garden@akaction.org or 907 717 4392 to rsvp and to let us know if you can bring ‘greens’ for the piles.
