2016 Hands-on Hot Composting Workshop!

You asked, we listened!  Everyone wants to know how to have a hot compost pile, and we would love to show you how it is done.  We will be building a compost pile outdoors in Midtown/Spenard so dress appropriately for the weather and to get dirty!  The course fee of $10 will help fund Yarducopia, which creates organic gardening and community-building opportunities in Anchorage.  Sign up by following the class link below.  Hurry – space is limited!:

Saturday, June 25, 2016, 6-8pm Hands-on Hot Composting

Everyone should have compost at home!  It’s fine to have a worm bin for small amounts, or a cold

compost pile for occasional deposits, but if you want to learn to build a hot compost pile from scratch, this is the hands-on workshop for you! Come learn all the tricks, how to troubleshoot if something goes wrong, and where to get the materials in Anchorage (you may be able to take some greens and browns home with you that day!)
